2023-2024 Registration Information

ELEMENTARY FAMILY OF SCHOOL STUDENTS

2024-2025 REGISTRATION

December 11 to January 25, 2024

 

HCC Guidance Staff have been conducting presentations with all LDCSB family of schools providing a detailed overview of the transition to high school, the many different programs and pathways offered, supports in place and the registration process. 

 

Students and Parents will be asked to complete a student verification form by the elementary school. This will ensure the proper information is transferred to Holy Cross. Starting January 1 to January 25th Grade 8 LDCSB students can submit course selections in their myBlueprint account.  Gr. 8 students are required to select 8 courses and 2 alternatives.

 

Parents will automatically receive an email to approve course selections from myBlueprint.

 

HCC's Gr. 7/8 Guidance Program Counsellor (Ms. McGowan) will be contacting all family of schools Grade 8 teachers to finalize this process. 

 

You will be contacted if any other information or additional forms are required.

 

Student Activity Fee will be available via SchoolCash Online in August 2024.

NON LDCSB GRADE 8 STUDENTS

Students/Parents please register your child for HCC through the online registration process beginning January 8, 2024.  This should be completed where possible by February 29, 2024.   

  1. Find your school (confirm designated home school based on address/special program)  click here 
  2. Complete the online registration click here (Please remember to select the 2023-2024 school year).
  3. Once completed, HCC will review your registration form and documents. Please email all of the following documents to HCC guidance [email protected].  You will be contacted after all forms have been submitted to complete course selection.
  • Please include a copy of your grade 7 report card and grade 8 progress report. When the grade 8 report card becomes available, please email it to us.
  • A copy of your IEP (if student is on an Individual Education Plan)

Student Activity Fee will be available via SchoolCash Online in August 2024.
GRADE 9 - 12 CURRENT HCC STUDENTS
  1. CouMyBPrse selection for current HCC students occurs through myBlueprint, access through the Virtual Learning Environment.
  2. Courses can be planned in advance using the High School Planner in myBlueprint and you will need to SUBMIT/LOCK IN your selections between February 1st and 23rd, 2024. You will submit and send a verification to a parent/guardian email to authorize your selections. 
  3. Parents will receive an automatic email via my Blueprint to verify course selection.
  4. There will be no paperwork collected or exchanged between students and schools.
  5. Any current student not returning to HCC next year (this includes grade 12 students graduating in June) must go on myBlueprint and click "Not Returning Next Year" and complete all the required steps. This option will be available until  February 1st.
  6. If you are a grade 12 student wishing to return for Year 5, please select courses (so that in total you have a maximum of 34 credits including prior years of high school) and then make an appointment to meet with Mrs. Kemmerling. Your request to return will be reviewed by Administration.Your request to return for a fifth year must be approved. You will need to submit/lock in your course selections for next year on myBlueprint between February 1 to 23, 2024.
  7. Summer School registration will open on December 11th for all current LDCSB grade 8 to 12 students. Registration for summer school closes June 14th. LDCSB students will register for Summer School in myBlueprint.
  8. Student Activity Fee will be available via SchoolCash Online in August 2024.
GRADE 10 - 12 NON LDCSB STUDENTS
Students/Parents please register your student for HCC through the online registration process beginning January 8, 2023.  This should be completed where possible by February 29, 2024.

  2. Complete the online registration click here (Please remember to select the 2023-2024 school year).
  3. Once completed, HCC will review your registration form and documents. Please email the following documents to HCC guidance [email protected] 
  • As applicable for grade 10-12 students: a transcript, credit counselling/status sheet and most recent report card
  • A copy of your IEP (if student is on an Individual Education Plan)
You will not be competing course selection in myBlueprint. You will complete this process with the school/Guidance Counsellor once registration is completed.

LDCSB SECONDARY STUDENTS TRANSFERRING TO HCC
 
1. Students are to complete the registration form on the board website. This registration form opens on February 1, 2024. Please click on the Registration Form link below.
2. For current LDCSB students, this form has been condensed, as most of the student’s information will already be in PowerSchool. This is a change in past practice.
3. Students reside in the HCC boundary. If a  boundary exemption is being requested, it must begin at the student's home school before applying.
4. Students do not complete the course selection in myBlueprint at their current LDCSB secondary school. They should indicate “not returning” in myBlueprint.
5. The course selection process for these students will be completed with HCC/Guidance Counsellor once registration is completed. Any questions can be directed to the Guidance Office at: [email protected]
