Technology

The Holy Cross Technological Education Program offers a broad range of courses in grades 9 through 12 with an emphasis on the application of skills and knowledge in a very hands-on environment. Our Technology Department is comprised of four main subject areas: Automotive/Transportation. Communications, Construction, and Manufacturing. Students can begin high school by taking an Exploring Technologies course (TIJ1O) in grade 9, which allows students to further explore and develop knowledge and skills in all four areas. In grade 10, students can focus their studies in one or more of these areas and continue to develop their knowledge and skills in each grade thereafter.  With a supportive staff, and a focus on making learning fun, there is something for everyone here.

Automotive/Transportation
Courses in this area introduce students to the service and maintenance of vehicles and small engines. Students  develop knowledge and skills related to the operation of vehicles and learn maintenance and repair techniques. Over the years, students develop skills as they study, test, service, and repair engine management systems; powertrains; steering/control, suspension, brake, and body systems on vehicles.
