The Holy Cross Technological Education Program offers a broad range of courses in grades 9 through 12 with an emphasis on the application of skills and knowledge in a very hands-on environment. Our Technology Department is comprised of four main subject areas: Automotive/Transportation. Communications, Construction, and Manufacturing. Students can begin high school by taking an Exploring Technologies course (TIJ1O) in grade 9, which allows students to further explore and develop knowledge and skills in all four areas. In grade 10, students can focus their studies in one or more of these areas and continue to develop their knowledge and skills in each grade thereafter.  With a supportive staff, and a focus on making learning fun, there is something for everyone here.
Courses in this area introduce students to the service and maintenance of vehicles and small engines. Students  develop knowledge and skills related to the operation of vehicles and learn maintenance and repair techniques. Over the years, students develop skills as they study, test, service, and repair engine management systems; powertrains; steering/control, suspension, brake, and body systems on vehicles.
Communications Tech
Communications technology courses focus on technology from a media perspective.  Students will develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications. Our lab is made up of Mac computers which are best suited for graphic design and video editing. Students have access to the Adobe Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
Courses focus on building materials and processes through opportunities to design and build various construction projects. Students will learn to create and read working drawings; become familiar with common construction materials, components, and processes; and perform a variety of fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
Construction Tech
Students Welding
Courses provide students the opportunity to design and fabricate products using a variety of processes, tools, and equipment. Students will learn about technical drawing, properties and preparation of materials, and manufacturing techniques. Students develop a variety of skills, particularly machining & welding,
