- Start studying at least a week before the exam; give yourself enough time to review, ask questions, etc.
 
- Create a study area where you will be free of distractions.
 
- Use the SQ3R Strategy:
 
- Survey: before studying, get an overall picture of what you need to study.
 
- Question: ask questions to reinforce your own learning
 
- Read: actively read over the material.
 
- Recite: orally recite the material.
 
- Review: re-read, summarize key points and test yourself.
 
- Organize a group study session.
 
- Take breaks AWAY from your desk.
 
- Stay well-rested; do NOT reduce your sleep to study.
